Robin Hall, Director of Kymin Financial Services.
Robin joined the Committee in 2017 and is MD of Newport finaincal planning firm Kymin Financial Services. He has a BSc Business Administration Degree and attained his full Diploma status as a Finanical Adviser in 2013.
Treasurer: Chris J H England
Chris is a semi-retired accountant and lives in Bassaleg. He does a lot of work in the Third Sector viz. Board Member and former Chair of Newport City Homes, Trustee of Pillgwenlly Millennium Trust, Newport Civic Society and Save our Woodland Bassaleg, Committee Member of Gwent Alcohol Project and Treasurer of St Mark’s Church, Gold Tops.

Neil joined the Committee in 2004. Career History: 1981 -1988: McLaren Dick & Co Ltd – Chartered loss adjusters 1988 – 1999: MD of W Gerwyn Williams & Underwood Ltd, insurance brokers 1999 – to date MD of Underwood Insurance Services Ltd, insurance brokers 2005-2006:
President of Insurance Institute of Cardiff Neil’s main hobby is following Cardiff City FC, where he is a season ticket holder having supported them since 1967! He also enjoys eating out.
Alyson joined the Committee in 2011 and is always on-hand to greet attendees at our events; along with organising and liaising with the venue and our loyal sponsors throughout the clubs’ season. Alyson is the Office & HR Manager for A2Z Computing, but has also worked on the Welsh Government Business Support programmes for many years and Zurich Financial before that. Alyson is the secretary of a ladies business group in Abergavenny which she helped set-up eleven years ago.
Outside work Alyson is passionate about watching her favourite football team – Arsenal and travels to London for most home games. If that weren’t enough she uses her annual leave to volunteer at Seal Rescue centres in Scotland and Ireland helping sick and injured seals before being able to release back into the wild.
Professor Jonathan H Deacon
PhD, MA, DipM, PGCE, BSc (hons) (Wales) FHEA, FCIM, Chartered Marketer
Jonathan is Professor of Marketing at the University of South Wales where he leads research with a focus on how entrepreneurial firms ‘create markets’ and how SME’s can ‘go to market’ in the era of digital platforms and technically literate consumers. He consults with business and government bodies on a number of strategic projects; business development initiatives and the digital economy.
He is a ‘thought leader’ at the interface between Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Digital Strategies. He is a trustee and global vice chair of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a member of The Royal Anniversary Trust and a board member of the European Marketing Confederation. Jonathan had a successful business career prior to academe – and retains selected commercial interests and sits on the boards of a number of commercial and social companies. For relaxation Jonathan enjoys adventure sports.
