The club will be meeting at its new regular venue – the Mercure Newport, the city centre’s newest and tallest hotel based on Upper Dock Street.
The four-star Mercure has 135 rooms offering incredible views across the city, a contemporary restaurant – NP20 Bar & Kitchen – with an outdoor terrace, and three fully-equipped meeting rooms.
As well as being the new venue for the City of Newport Business Club, the Mercure is also now a club sponsor.
Guest speaker Gemma is co-founder and director of Can Marketing Save The Planet Ltd and co-host of the podcast series Can Marketing Save the Planet?
Gemma is a sustainable marketing consultant, a twice-published author and a guest lecturer. Gemma also teaches sustainable marketing for the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Cambridge Judge Business School and the Direct Marketing Association of Northern California in the US.
City of Newport Business Club chairman Professor Jonathan Deacon said: “We are delighted to welcome Gemma as our guest on May 9 at our brilliant new city centre home.
