City of Newport business club returns to its roots!
The City of Newport Business Club is pleased to announce it is returning ‘home’ to The Celtic Manor Resort as the venue for all future meetings.
Formed over 18 years ago, the Business Club held its first ever meeting at The Celtic Manor Resort and maintained its presence there for many years. The venue will now host the 2015/16 meetings on the following dates:
Thursday 26th November 2015
Thursday 28th January 2016
Thursday 10th March 2016
Thursday 5th May 2016
All events will commence at 5.30pm.
The first, on Thursday 26th November will have a local sporting theme and the Club is pleased to announce that the Newport County FC Chairman, Jon Bowkett, will be the guest speaker.
Jon has had a long involvement with Newport County FC and took over as Chairman in January this year. He is well placed to provide an insight to the latest developments at our local football club and to share how he has put his business knowledge and experience to good use as part of the management committee.
Chairman Dan Goulding said “This is an exciting time for Newport County FC and for the City of Newport Business Club. We look forward to welcoming members old and new to the Celtic Manor Resort to hear what Jon has to say and to meet and network with other local business people.”
He continues, “Myself and my fellow committee members look forward to a successful season at our new ‘home’ and extend a warm invitation to all business people to come and join us at one of our meetings.”
The Chairman and Committee members would also like to announce the launch of a new website and to thank members for their patience during the construction of the site.
